The Fyre Festival perhaps went down in history as one of the wildest scams ever to hit modern culture. It was heralded by the likes of Bella and Gigi Hadid; Kendall Jenner (and the rest of the Kardashians, and pretty much every possible rich-kid and celeb you’d find from Tinsel Town to Manhattan.
Yeah.. you know that festival that actually landed certain people in prison for wire fraud. Billy is currently serving a 6 year sentence for said charges.
Unfortunately for people like Jenner, rich kids are now feeling the consequence of attending and otherwise promoting the scam-worthy festival because they’ve been ordered to pay-up. On Wednesday, Jenner was ordered to and agreed to pay more than $90k in a settlement for promoting the festival on her Instagram. Originally, she was paid more than $275,000 to promote the festival that never actually happened.
Consequently, the fine also comes from the fact that Kendall posted at the time that her G.O.O.D music family endorsed the festival when in fact they didn’t. Kanye West nor any members of the G.O.O.D music family actually showed up.
Jenner reportedly maintains thaat she did nothing wrong and will not have to admit any wrongdoing.
