Animal Crossing New Horizon(s) is sweeping the world as one of Nintendo ‘s most popular games. At first glance, I never imagined I’d be interested in a now-beloved island game that is quite literally a blissful escape from the hustle-and-bustle of the world we live in ourselves.
Two weeks ago, I started the game living in a tent and pretty much as broke as they come. It took some getting used to; some learning, and quickly adapting to some chat groups that have dramatically altered my islands in ways that have made me love the game even more.
The game is a quirky escape from the stressors we now face in our daily lives. The things we can’t do outside we can very much do on this game — it’s actually almost a little too real. I finally expanded my house; fixed up my bedroom, and have most buildings now built.
If you’d like to be Switch friends so we can play together — toss me a PM on Instagram (@SullyDaBrat) for my Switch code. I usually have spare items laying around and lots of Apples.
