Everything you need to know about the wedding of El Chapo ‘s daughter deeper into the cartel world

The apple certainly doesn’t fall far from the tree. Earlier this week, we reported through a Mexican newspaper that the daughter of El Chapo married the nephew of a larger drug queenpin in Sinaloa. At the time we reported that along with the original newspaper, she got married in the Sinaloa State Cathedral literally having arrived under more armoured guard than leader of any modern country would do so on a state sponsored visit.

For those who don’t follow Mexican state media (or can’t read it) we’ll round it back up here for you in a profile of Alejandrina Gisselle Guzmán Salazar, 33, who wed Édgar Cázares, the nephew of Blanca Margarita Cazares.

According to what we’ve been able to validate online:

The wedding actually took place last month and was cordoned off from the state of Sinaloa even to the actual police department.

Alejandrina is believed to have ordered the cathedral shut amid security concerns within the cartel.

She’s 33 years old

She alike her mother is considered to be a high-ranking member the Cartel, and may actually be a money-launderer like her Mum.

She married the nephew of Blanca Cazares — a woman otherwise known as the Empress of Sinaloa” who is perhaps best known for allegedly being a queenpin within the Sinaloa cartel and a money-lauderer that would. go on to see her criminal status eclipse that of even the world’s most notorious criminals.

Much of what is publicly available about Alejandrina cannot otherwise be independently verified.
