A Freedom of Information Act request has led to a startling trove of e-mails being released to the public (although redacted.). In those e-mails, it is now partially revealed as to why the President formally withheld $400m worth of $$$ to one of America ‘s most prominent and needy sidekicks.
A filing on Friday argued against the full release of the e-mails arguing that 24 of the 111 e-mails are “protected” by Presidential privilege, although that remains to be fully certain. Politico has more on the story and why it may in the long run seriously hurt the Republican party in November.
