Over the Presidents Day weekend in America, it became public news that Amie Harwick (Drew Carey ‘s widely known sex therapist ex-fiance) had been murdered in her home from a third-floor balcony. When that news was announced and then confirmed by paramedics, many immediately took to the internet to share their condolences.
Wendy William ‘s, however, didn’t apparently get that memo and instead turned the murder of Harwick (whom she oddly mistook for Hardwick) into a nasty joke that should’ve never been.
William’s made an unhinged joke about how Drew wasn’t the killer and that the person can “come on down” a reference to Carey ‘s famous catchphrase on The Price is Right (which by the way paused airing their next episode following the news of Harwick ‘s murder.)
The morning following Harwick ‘s murder, Gareth Pursehouse was arrested and charged with her murder amid news that she had long had a restraining order against him (that had recently reportedly expired.)
