The Obama’s are headed to the National Art Gallery

For the first time in history, the Smithsonian has not only paid up to have both Michelle and Barack Obama put into the National Art Gallery  for their first portraits. But, what’s  interesting is that the artist behind the portraits is  African American.  A first for any portrait in the history.

Kehinde Wiley, will reportedly paint  former president Barack Obama.  Wiley,  was personally requested by Barack Obama while Michelle will be  painted by someone else.
