LOS ANGELES -- Shortly after 7am this morning local time sports legend Tiger Woods reportedly sustained critical injuries in a car crash that occurred in the area. A series of explosives have gone missing from a California naval base: Reports

An extraordinary report out of California today as Naval officials and military personnel are scrambling to find out what happened to a series of explosives out of TwentyNine Palms. The AP reports that sometime in the past two weeks a series of explosives vanished from the base amid training on the sprawling military installation. The Navy isn't releasing further details at this time and a major investigation is underway to find the missing explosives. Thousands of troops are currently on base in training until roughly 18 February.

Canada has declared the #ProudBoys a terrorist organisation

Just a short five years after Canadian citizen Gavin McInnes created the Proud Boys (yes that's right a foreign person created the group not an American) said organisation has now been declared a terrorist org. According to the Canadian government, the Proud Boys now join a host of other well known terrorist orgs that include both Al-Qaeda and ISIS. "Canada will not tolerate ideological, religious or politically motivated acts of violence," said Public Safety Minister Bill Blair on Wednesday.

Political beacon of hope Stacey Abrams has been nominated for a huge honour. According to the Huffington Post, Abrams for her work in politics particularly those in Georgia has been nominated for a Nobel. “Abrams’ efforts to complete King’s work are crucial if the United States of America shall succeed in its effort to create fraternity between all its peoples and a peaceful and just society,” Haltbrekken said, per Reuters. Other names on the list include: Black Lives Matter, former President (who is approaching his impeachment trial) Donald Trump, former White House adviser Jared Kushner, Russian politician Alexei Navalny, climate activist Greta Thunberg and WikiLeaks.

Americans unfortunately are picking up cigarettes more than ever during the pandemic

In an unfortunate turn of events the last person(s) profiting from the pandemic should be the makers of cigarettes in the United States. But according to the American Lung Association, Americans are picking up cigs for the first time in record numbers after years of steady declines. "COVID-19 has created a drastic change in daily life, including increased stress and anxiety," that may be spurring people to scoop up smokes, an FDA spokeswoman tells the Wall Street Journal (we don't link to the journal here.)

Report: Alexis Sharkey ‘s autopsy revealed she was strangled in a homicide

The tragic death of a budding influencer a few months ago has come to an end. According to the coroner's office in Houston, Alexis Sharkey indeed and in fact was murdered in a grisly homicide. Fox reports that the autopsy was released this evening on Wednesday and indicated that a much larger investigation is set to be underway. Sharkey 's husband may or may not still be a suspect but it is unclear at this time. The autopsy report further revealed that she was strangled to death before she was found which of course revealed intent and a possible motive. Sharkey 's widow maintains that he had nothing to do with her murder.

PARIS, FRANCE --- There's a big story brewing in Paris amid lockdowns in the country. According to Parisian authorities, Senegal 's top student known as The Pride of Senegal is missing. Diary Sow, 20, was last seen on 2 January and has not been seen or heard from since. Senegal has since sent huge swathes of investigators into Paris to help search for the young woman. Searches were already performed on her flat which did not turn up active signs of her. Police also note that she did not turn up for new term on 4 January.

According to reports, Aurora police officers decidedly stopped the wrong car and then proceeded to force an innocent black family into some of their darkest fears. The police stopped Brittany Gilliam and her four children while they were minding their business in the parking lot of a thrift store. 2020 has been a hell-of-a-year. And for black trans women --- they've been killed at an alarmingly high rate over the past year (with little done on a political level to address the issue.). This week saw yet another addition to the growing violent murder(s) against trans women with the death of Aja Raquell Rhone-Spears. According to authorities, she and at least one other person were violently stabbed during an altercation at a private residence while paying their respects. She was pronounced dead at the scene per police and this has been labeled a homicide. No arrests have been made as of this writing.

According to biliteral authorities in both Ohio and Los Angeles a surgeon is behind bars today after it was revealed that he drugged sex workers in Los Angeles; raped them while they laid motionless, tranquilized them, and then filmed the encounters. According to police affdavits obtained by The Daily News, that surgeon has been identified as 49-year-old Manish Gupta. Gupta, per the complaint, drugged multiple high-end escorts with the use of tranquilizers. Homeless man found dead covered in maggots on NYC subway: Report

MANHATTAN -- Grisly discovery in Manhattan this week. Privately on Wednesday, the MTA found itself dealing with yet another crisis on its hands. Reports now indicate that a dead homeless man was found around 8:40 p.m on the D train as it pushed into 59th and Columbus Circle. The man appeared to be covered in maggots and had died on the subway. The discovery comes amid increased pushes by activists and the like to get the city to do more for the people who call New York home -- ya know instead of criminalizing homelessness and fair jumpers.
