Because she now says it wasn't in fact murder because she considered him a threat at the time (ergo, she actually unlawfully entered his home; shot him to death, and now argues that he was the threat in his own home.). As the weekend kicked off, Guyger formally filed an appeal to have her murder conviction lessened on grounds that it was justified.
