Crown Prosecutors should be ashamed, but here’s why they didn’t drop the case against Caroline Flack

WRITES TIFFANY HUTCHINSON-MEYERS. No matter the country someone lives in, typically the prosecution-and-then-trial phase of a criminal proceeding usually is pretty damn long. CPS waited until after Flack followed through with several previously reported attempts to harm herself to actually now officially terminate the case against her. This is so so wrong. Officials previously refused to terminate the case because we've learned that two reviews took place in December, and therefore, during those reviews officials claim that Flack was still a "risk" to her then-boyfriend Prosecutors allege in documents obtained by The Daily News that at the time of those reviews, Flack "flouted" multiple conditions of her bail which included no messages or attempts to visit/contact Lewis. Prosecu...

MP ‘s reviewing TV licence convictions for non-payment

But according to one Conservative MP, that could soon be changing as some believe such criminalisiations are "not fit for the populist age." Cred: Parliament MP Julian Knight is leading discussions to enact change at the BBC. “In 2020, when we’re looking at a world of populism, a world in which elites are being challenged an awful lot, the idea of criminal sanctions over the licence fee sticks in a lot of people’s throats,” he told the Guardian.

As Love Island is rocked by 3rd suicide, fate of popular show remains up in the air

Love Island has always been one of those shows that are largely guilty pleasures -- but that guilty pleasure shouldn't come at the price of another's own life. In recent months, the ITV show has seen a total of 3 suicides (not one but THREE) which is quite astonishing, and now it is being reported that the fate of the show may be in jeopardy. Last month -- producers of the show were warned by advocates and such that their stars needed to be better-taken care of as mental health had long been an issue for the show itself. Previously both Sophie Gradon, 32, and Mike Thalassitis, 26, had taken their own lives after being on the show in some shape or form. A large portion of the controversy surrounding the ITV show is with the fact that their aftercare policies are pretty troubli...

At the time of that finding, Begum as widely reported by numerous other outlets was stripped of her British passport and indefinitely barred from the country. Now according to her lawyer, she is claiming to be "stateless" which is actually illegal under international law on many sides of the political spectrum. Both of Begum 's parents are Bangladeshi citizens as she is also by descent, which according to the government means tha...
