DaBaby has been dropped by Lollapalooza and New York ‘s Governors Ball

But the fallout is massive and expands further beyond just those two festivals. This week American rapper DaBaby is learning just how much his actions will continue to cost him. On Sunday night, it emerged that DaBaby was formally dropped from Lolapalooza over his homophobic comments made in regards to AIDS/STDs during an appearance at the Rolling Loud festival. Prosecutors to drop request for death penalty in the murder of Pop Smoke

Big news in the quest to get justice for the murder of Pop Smoke. According to the YBF, prosecutors in the case are poised to drop their request for the death penalty against at least one of the killers. Per the site, Corey Walker, 20, the only adult killer will not be put to death over his crimes. The move comes as the death penalty as a whole is being largely and both federally reviewed in the United States. Activists and even government officials are coming to the realization that the death penalty often makes those sanctioning it no different from people who kill each other with a gun. Other suspects in the case (both minors so we can't identify them here) are all facing gang and gun charges among other things in connection to the case.

50 Cent has once again proved he’s just an awful person

American rapper 50 Cent has made a modern career out of being an awful person. According to Rap-Up, the childish rapper is trying to take fellow American musician Tierra Marie to court and seize her assets over a judgement handed down In a case that was originally against him for revenge porn. A few years ago, 50 took to Twitter releasing a video and a photo in a thread that appeared to be Tierra Marie with someone. The judge in the case at the time ultimately ruled 50 Cent did not violate Tierra 's rights by sharing the explicit clip and ordered her to pay him $37,000 in legal fees. Britney Spears Dad Jamie may be the enemy after all. This week the pop star's conservatorship battle went into a new realm after it was revealed that her father may have falsely claimed on documents that she has dementia or early onset dementia. Pretty Ricky rapper Baby Blue is in critical condition after being gunned down in Miami

American recording artist Baby Blue (a member of Pretty Ricky) is in critical condition this week following a gun attack at Sparez Bowling alley in Davie Florida. Report: American rapper DMX is in critical condition after near fatal overdose

TMZ is reporting this weekend that DMX is in critical condition following reports of a near fatal overdose. The American website reports that DMX suffered a serious heart attack following the use of numerous drugs, though, it is unclear exactly what he supposedly took. TMZ claims that he is in critical condition in White Plains at a local hospital.

Looks like it wasn't true love at first sight. According to Saweetie, she and rapper Quavo have broken up amid speculation that Quavo has been sleepiong with other women behind her back. On Twitter this week, the Best Friend rapper revealed that she broke up with the Migos member because she had went through too much betrayal. “I’m single,” she stated clearly in a message to fans via Twitter on Friday. “I’ve endured too much betrayal and hurt behind the scenes for a false narrative to be circulating that degrades my character. “I emotionally checked out a long time ago,” she continued in a second tweet, “and have walked away with a deep sense of peace and freedom. Troop singer Reggie Warren has reportedly passed away over unspecified issues. Warren was an accomplished musician and R&B veteran that first rose to fame back in the 1980’s. In a shock to absolutely no one, Beyonce and daughter Blue Ivy are among the first to take home Grammy 's this evening even as Beyonce is not set to appear. According to the Associated Press, Queen B and daughter won for their duo music video produced last year Brown Skin Girl. Though it's worth noting that in the main telecast, it remains to be seen whether Beyonce will be acknowledged with any of the bigger awards. Cardi B is getting the True Hollywood Story treatment, even if she didn’t approve it

If you thought it was 2008 based on this headline we won't fault you. Apparently E! 's True Hollywood Story is still a thing and it is bringing the story of Cardi B to life. According to Page Six, Cardi 's life is set to become a Hollywood documentary though Cardi did not approve of it and it is unclear if she knows what is in it. This could be problematic considering it would be unfair for E! to air something she did not approve of pre-Cardi-B days. According to the network, the episode is set to air on Monday. “I would love to tell my story myself when I’m ready,” she wrote on Twitter in response to the reports. “I been thru & been influenced by a lot of bad sh-t since a teenager That when I’m ready I will like to talk about.”

The T.I & Tiny sexual assault allegations now include what appears to have been at least one minor (at the time)

The sexual assault saga continues this week against none other than hip hop power couple T.I & Tiny Harris. Initially, the couple was accused of sexual assault by a handful of women who claimed that they had been lured back to the couple's compound. Editors Note: We'd like to remind people that victims should always be given the chance to tell their story which they are. Nicki Minaj ‘s Dad has died after being struck in a hit-and-run: Report

Heartbreaking news for Nicki Minaj this weekend as it has been confirmed that her father Robert has died. According to TMZ, Mr Maraj was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Mineola (that's on Long Island here guys) around 6pm on Friday. The driver has not been identified as they fled the scene . Maraj was reportedly walking along the road in the area when he was struck. He died hours later at the local hospital according to police and investigators.

Court rules Britney Spears outside trust will stay

American pop legend Britney Spears has reportedly won a small victory in the conservatorship battle against her father Jamie Spears. According to a ruling in Los Angeles, Jamie Spears is now required to split conservatorship duties with an outside trust that is expected to co-handle Britney 's affairs. Bessemer Trust will stay on as co-conservator of Britney 's estate meanwhile Britney is still trying to remove her father as co-conservator entirely. Her attorneys, however, have recognized that such is a separate issue and that is expected to be handled at a later time.
