Former U.S President Donald Trump has been indicted by a federal grand jury in connection to charges related to hush money payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels. A federal grand jury has decided that Trump committed a crime, making him the first former American President not only to be indicted but to face formal criminal charges. Reports indicate that his arrest is imminent and the case so far is understood to carry at least four years in prison.
The New York Times reports that lawyers for Trump have confirmed that they have been informed of the stunning indictment out of Manhattan. Additional reports suggest that because Trump does not pose a physical threat that he will be handcuffed with his hands to the front rather than the back. Armed secret service agents are already working out their plans to aid and escort Trump during his arrest.
