Another major blow for embattled Donald Trump as court rules feds CAN get his tax returns

Though he is probably going to appeal that if not fully to the Supreme Court under the alleged and (misleading) belief that he is somehow immune to all forms of law even after having left office. CNN reports that a DC Circuit Judge (also appointed by Trump) has ruled against him in the longstanding attempt by federal authorities to obtain his tax returns.

The authorities in question are in fact those on the House Means and Ways Committee otherwise the people who have the power to deal very real and very serious consequences to Trump now that he is no longer President.

“While it is possible that Congress may attempt to threaten the sitting President with an invasive request after leaving office, every President takes office knowing that he will be subject to the same laws as all other citizens upon leaving office. This is a feature of our democratic republic, not a bug,” the opinion said.
