T.V ‘s ‘The Crown’ set to explore that shockingly dishonest BBC panorama interview with Princess Diana

BBC heads are set to get a primetime feature. According to reports, the next season of The Crown is set to feature none other than a deep dive into the infamous panorama interview between Princess Diana and Martin Bashir. Bashir of course as many people know was later revealed to have lied to Princess Diana about an alleged affair between Prince Charles and the then family nanny Alexandra Pettifer, known at the time as Tiggy Legge-Bourke.

Bashir at the time had used false allegations of an affair between Pettifer and Charles to stir up drama with the Princess in an effort to secure the interview. Of course lies didn’t stop there either. Bashir later would also go on to claim that Pettifer had an alleged abortion after falling pregnant by Charles. CBS News reports that as a result of the interview and an investigation (albeit a super long time later) Pettifer is set to receive a substantial settlement payment from the BBC to cover damages and the fact she was a scapegoat in their lies.
