Surprise! Prince Charles *will not* be investigated for accepting suspicious suitcases loaded with cash

Prince Charles charity is getting some special treatment. According to reports, officials have announced that Charles’ charity will not be investigated for accepting what later was revealed to have been unmarked suitcases loaded with cash. The cash was also revealed at the time to be part of a scheme alleged to be a pay for British honours type thing. The Prince of course has denied any wrongdoing through much of the controversy.

“We have assessed the information provided by the charity and have determined there is no further regulatory role for the commission,” a spokesperson for the Charity Commission said in a statement shared with HuffPost Wednesday.

The reports originally came to light after the Sunday Times revealed in a previous investigation that roughly about 10 years ago the Prince accepted more than $3.2m (USD) from a Qatari politician.
