- A California man is going to prison for 11 years after conning $27m out of the PPP programme.
As it turns out the PPP programme that once existed in America was more abused than it was actually processed for those that needed it. DOJ officials announced on Wednesday that 53-year-old Robert Benlevi had been sentenced for his crimes in what they call a wildly sophisticated COVID-19 aid scam. Benlevi although actually had the businesses he falsified aid applications for the aid wasn’t actually used on payroll expenses or anything of the kind and his employees didn’t actually exist. He had tried to claim that he had more than 800 employees.
2. Ivana Trump was laid to rest on Wednesday in Manhattan in a final send off fit for a social queen.
Socialite Ivana Trump was buried in Manhattan on Wednesday surrounded by family; friends, and celeb faces. The socialite died earlier this month after falling down the stairs inside of her Manhattan townhouse.
3. Daily Harvest is making news again after apparently figuring out what made folks really sick.
A few weeks ago many may remember that Daily Harvest made headlines amid reports at the time that people were getting sick after eating a lentil based dish from the delivery service. The company now says that the dish French Lentil & Leek Crumbles actually contained what is known as a Tara plant. Daily Harvest told multiple outlets on Wednesday that the plant is only found in that singular dish and the supplier who gave it to them is no longer a partner.
