Against the backdrop of a drought Lake Mead is turning up dead bodies left and right. According to the National Park Service, officials began receiving witness accounts of human remains turning up in the area as a result of the lake drying up. The current water level in the area is the lowest it has been since the late 1980 ‘s. Bodies were reportedly recovered from the swim beach area in Boulder City Nevada.
Areas in the region have been cordoned off amid fears there could be more. Click here for more information from the NPS.
