New Jersey has reported its first case of the monkeypox virus

New Jersey is now the 20th reported state to report its first known case of the monkeypox virus. Reports out Tuesday indicate that the virus has been documented at least 140 times since it began spreading throughout the world.

California and New York lead America with 24 and 21 cases of the virus.

‘The NJ Health Dept has confirmed the first case of monkey pox in Jersey City,’ the city’s Instagram account announced. Our health officials are working closely with the CDC.’
