A sports bill in Ohio now requires “genital exams” if a student’s gender is in dispute

There’s always that one headline that as a newsroom we have to ask ourselves if it is actually real or did we type that half asleep.

This is one of those headlines. According to a new bill in Ohio spearheaded by the state ‘s Republican Party high school sports and college sports are now OK’d to exclude transgender students. Ohio’s new bill is one of many Republican-led efforts across America to exclude transgender students from both athletics and pretty much life-at-large.

Ironically, this is the one state that is understood to have all but one transgender student actually openly participating in high school sports. Like most of the Republican efforts regarding this matter, it is largely dangerously being overblown.
