NASA froze some samples from the Moon 50 or so years ago, now they’re preparing to investigate them for the first time

50 years ago during the first space missions to the moon humans brought back samples to earth that have been frozen ever since. Now Space.com reports that NASA officials are preparing to utilise special facility to take a look at the fascinating samples that more than likely hold clues to how life may have began on earth. Space.com notes that it was previously discovered amino acids on the moon — and as many of you know amino acids are a key building block to life.

The samples are now located at the Goddard Space Flight Facility in Maryland from the Johnson Space Center in Houston, where they had been in a freezer for decades, Space.com reports.
