Donald Trump has a new legal problem. According to reports, NY’s Attorney General Letitia James has asked a court to hold former American President Donald Trump in civil contempt for ignoring a lawfully allowed subpoena. Both Ivanka and Jared have already handled their part of the latest developments, though, it is understood that Trump himself has not agreed to any part of what the subpoena is actually asking.
Back in February State Judge Arthur Engoron ruled that the Trump ‘s must comply with the lawfully permitted subpoenas but that hasn’t fully happened yet.
In a Thursday filing, the AG noted that they have not turned over “any” documents in response to the subpoena because his attorneys believe that if the documents exist, the Trump Organization would have them and the attorney general’s office “will just have to wait until the Trump Organization completes its production to get them.”
