Masks are now optional on planes in America as mandate ruled unlawful by federal judge

The day has finally come that a masks are optional on planes in America and as many expect that can either go one of two ways good or bad — there’s no real grey area. According to the TSA, the TSA can no longer enforce the mask rule as laid out by the federal government after a ruling by a Florida judge called it unlawful. In the same ruling, it was also declared that the government “overstepped” its authority when the CDC initially placed the mandate in place to begin with. Masks are now understood to be optional on: Delta Air Lines, American Airlines, United Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Alaska Airlines and JetBlue.

“Given the unexpected nature of this announcement, please be aware that customers, airline employees and federal agency employees — such as TSA — may be receiving this information at different times,” the airline said.
