European Union officials are gearing up to send off aid packages of food to vulnerable countries on the brink of collapse thanks to soaring prices for basic food items and the like. Just like America is seeing its own inflation soar other countries are either already ahead in inflation or not far behind — largely brought on by Russia ‘s invasion of Ukraine and the sanctions that followed.

Russia, however, paints the food crises es as a consequence of Western sanctions on the country but that couldn’t be any furthest from the truth.

Reuters reports that officials are deeply concerned about countries like Egypt and Lebanon particularly where these two are highly dependent ton items from Russia and Ukraine to keep their countries going.
