In yet another escalation against Russia European Union officials have announced that 21 Russian certified airline companies are heading for the chopping bloc. On Monday, it was announced that 21 airlines including the national Aeroflot are now barred from entering EU airspace over “very real and serious” safety concerns as laid forth by government officials.
CNN reports that a large part of the problem is with many of the foreign aircraft that Russia has essentially hijacked as their own in an effort to keep domestic services running in the country.
