Billionaire Elon Musk is doubling down on his efforts to takeover Twitter. In a new interview over the weekend, the controversial SpaceX founder revealed that he apparently isn’t after the website for money.
“This is not a way to make money,” Musk told TED chief Chris Anderson. “My strong intuitive sense is that having a public platform that is maximally trusted and broadly inclusive is extremely important to the future of civilization.”
Musk maintains that Twitter “in more ways than one” lacks the appropriate free speech required for a functioning Democracy.
