Russia is trying to stop companies from fleeing the country, but companies beat them to the punch

We are among those companies. According to reports, dozens of companies both small and large (whether investment funds; shareholders, small shareholders, and everybody up and down the ladder) are fleeing Russia like never before. Russian authorities in response to this have attempted to enact what is called a Presidential decree to stop this from happening.

Despite this decree numerous companies (including our own) have divested in any partnerships; shares, joint ventures, and the like that had to do with or inside of the country of Russia. BP; Shell, and other oil and gas giants are all also among those fleeing the country in response to Putin ‘s illegal invasion of Ukraine.

It is unclear how well Russia will be able to enforce the decree as it appears that it mostly targets westerners and those in which aren’t actually citizens of the country.
