Here’s why people are giving Taylor Swift a hard time over her involvement in a new movie

Taylor Swift is back and has some new music but that new music isn’t coming without some controversy. The music in question is in regards to a novel written way back in the day by one Delia Owens. Owens, however, as many people have pointed out is one of the infamous conservationists wanted in Zambia over the murder of an unidentified individual *believed to have been a poacher at the time.*

Swift’s new song appears in the trailer below.

Some of you may even remember the following broadcast that aired way back in 1995 which appears to coincide with much of the investigation into Owens’ and her former husband.

In that broadcast, a man who has his face concealed can be seen firing at someone else believed to be a poacher of some sort. The man’s identity has never been disclosed and is the subject of much scrutiny in Zambia. Delia Owens is understood to have remained quiet most if not all of these years.

In the same breath, Delia ‘s then husband Mark Meadows can be heard along the way in the documentary telling Meredith Veira that the death “was just part of the way things work.”

She responds: “It is. It’s very messy. It almost gives conservation a very ugly name.” Mark argues: “But that’s the reality. It’s ugly why? Is it ugly because of the elephants? They haven’t done anything wrong. It’s people who make it ugly.”

From what we understand ,the victim’s identity has never been confirmed and his true intentions have never been made public. The duo remains wanted in Zambia for questioning over the murder.
