President Zelenskiy has announced that Ukraine is prepared to discuss neutral nuclear status with Russia in the upcoming talks in Turkey this week. According to reports, the talks are set to be the latest round in an effort to end the ongoing Russian-Ukraine war.
“Our goal is obvious – peace and the restoration of normal life in our native state as soon as possible,” Zelenskiy said in a late-night video message that also set out his negotiating red lines. “Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity are beyond doubt. Effective security guarantees for our state are mandatory.”
This comes just two days after Biden badly botched his appearance in Europe where he appeared to suggest the Americans are plotting a regime change in Russia and Russia may not be aware of that.
