America just paroled one of its most infamous kidnapping convicts probably ever

The name Frederick Newhall might sound foreign to some but to others they may probably remember exactly who this nightmare is. Back in 1976, Newhall-Woods became a notorious kidnapping criminal after being wrongfully inspired by a Dirty Harry movie that came out at the time. According to police reports at the time, Newhall hijacked a bus full of 26 kids and a bus driver before having buried them in a bizarre underground bunker.

He has now been paroled. According to reports out Wednesday, Newhall, now 70, has been approved for parole despite his very dark and terrifying crimes against others including children. At the time of the original crime it is understood he had accomplices who were actually his brothers Richard and James Schoenfeld.

Those two men were actually released years ago. All three men were from wealthy San Francisco families before they kidnapped 26 kids and a bus driver and buried them to die. Most of the kids were from the Chowchilla area and the case made national headlines for quite some time.
