California is set to become the latest U.S state to reportedly drop school mask mandates. CA joins a host of Democratic led states that are dropping mandates, though, nobody’s quite sure how well that will end for anyone. According to reports, the state has seen a 65% drop in cases as of late and that is at least part of the reason for the dropping of school based mandates.
‘Masking requirements were never put in place to be there forever … it’s not a question of if. It’s a question of when,’ Dr Mark Ghaly, secretary of the California Department of Health and Human Services.
Lots of CA students have breaks coming up and it is widely expected that a decision on mandates will come either during break or after according to multiple reports and those familiar with the matter.
