TOP STORY: Prince Andrew loses HRH title, military roles and patronages as sex abuse case moves forward

Buckingham Palace has confirmed in a shock announcement that Prince Andrew will defend his sex abuse case as a private citizen as he is no longer HRH. According to the palace, the Queen herself made the move this week amid American media reports that a judge has ordered the case against the disgraced royal to go forward. Andrew had previously unsuccessfully argued that the case should be thrown out due to previously secret settlements that the world didn’t know anything about.

The move comes amid increasing pressure on the royal family to do what’s right and kick Andrew to the curb over his alleged involvement with Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew was among many of the reported names and people who either took part in the crimes or had close contact with the criminal pair during the crimes. Andrew ‘s most prominent accuser Virginia Guiffrie has made it her mission to hold Andrew accountable.

Daily Telegraph reports that the following statement has been released by the Palace.

A Buckingham Palace spokesperson said: “With The Queen’s approval and agreement, The Duke of York’s military affiliations and Royal patronages have been returned to The Queen”
