That’s because Greene appears to have violated the site’s COVID-19 misinformation policy. Greene spent much of her 2021 on and offline promoting COVID conspiracy theories which pose a significant danger to public health.
According to reports, Greene has since claimed that twitter is an enemy to America and should be stopped. Past reports indicate that this is her fifth and final strike.
A Twitter spokesperson confirmed the news on Sunday per multiple US outlets.
We permanently suspended @mtrgreene for repeated violations of our COVID-19 misinformation policy. We’ve been clear that, per our strike system for this policy, we will permanently suspend accounts for repeated violations of the policy.
