Exomoons? Let’s talk about the latest find Astronomers have located in space

Astronomy w/ Kory is an editorial column in Bazaar Daily News exploring the aspects of space and the outer worlds that truthfully we know very little to nothing about. In this edition of our space-y newsletter, we’re going to talk about the recent discovery an exomoon understood to be hanging out near some “alien” worlds that humankind is currently trying to actually explore.

According to Space.com, the discovery began with a signal from the now retired Keplar telescope. Using that now famed telescope at the time, astronomers discovered the signal orbiting in an entirely different solar system that we have not yet peered into. Astronomers and scientists say that the exmoon is likely a moon the size of about Jupiter, but, not much else is known about it at this time because of the fact it is in a different world than our own.

There haven’t really been any discoveries of exomoons prior to this discovery. As Space.com notes it does appear this has only ever been discovered twice in the past and is expected to help humankind dramatically understand some of the interstellar worlds surrounding our solar system.
