U.S anti-terrorism database was allegedly used against journalists reveals stunning report

A special edition database of the U.S Customs and Border Protection system apparently has been used for more reasons than one might suspect. According to Yahoo News, a cache of information has been revealed this week that confirmed that the database was previously used against journalists without their knowledge. Way back in 2017 the practice was first then acknowledged by a border agent by the name of Jacob Rambo.

“When a name comes across your desk you run it through every system you have access too, that’s just status quo, that’s what everyone does,” Rambo was quoted by Yahoo News as saying.

The section of CBP that used the database is reportedly known as the Counter Network Division. The extent in which tye originally used the database without the potential legality to do so wasn’t known prior to Yahoo ‘s shocking report.
