Royal Confidential: Prince Andrew revealed to have lobbied tycoons for £200,000 to fix Queen ‘s church

Prince Andrew is once again back in the headlines. According to reports, Andy has on a few occasions lobbed billionaire tycoons for more than 200,000 in funding to fix up the Queen ‘s private church over at Windsor.

This news comes just a week or so after it emerged that a man named Jonathan Rowland has been bank-rolling some of Andy ‘s loans over the years. The Mail on Sunday reports that although the monies were intended for the apparent church, no work appears to have been done on said church since at least 2008. It sits just a stones throw from the Royal Lodge at Windsor.

Rowland is understood to have a £1.5 million loan that had been given to Andrew by Banque Havilland, which is based in Luxembourg and controlled by the Rowland family. Over the weekend the bank Banque Havilland said: ‘The bank can confirm it has not and does not make loans on chapels. The bank categorically denies any wrongdoing.’ Buckingham Palace has refused to comment on whether or not Andrew has repaid any of the aforementioned loans.

If most recall, the Rowlands are the same owners of the very bank that Andrew previously was caught promoting while out on official mission tours and the like. At the time, the Rowland ‘s were looking to expand the services of their bank during high-level meetings.
