Prompting one of the nation ‘s toughest vaccine mandates known to date. According to Mayor De Blasio, all private sector employees are now legally required to require their employees to be vaccinated beginning 27 December. The move comes as the omicron variant continues to surface in the country and within New York City, a city that once assumed it had the virus largely under control.
“We in New York City have decided to use a preemptive strike to really do something bold to stop the further growth of COVID and the dangers it’s causing to all of us,” said the mayor.
