Disgraced socialite Ghislaine Maxwell has been found guilty on five out of six of the federal charges against her. According to the jury’s decision, she was acquitted on the charge of allegedly enticing a minor in the aide of convicted predator Jeffrey Epstein.
The charges mean that the once well heeled socialite will die behind bars in America for her complacency in Epstein’s crimes. Capping off a month long trial, the trial featured testimony and words from multiple accusers who say the pair viciously sexually abused them for decades.
Maxwell’s fall from grace is one for the history books. Born into opulent wealth but then her family was hit by scandal over her con man fathers’ fraud and inaction years prior.
She will likely be sentenced in 2022.
