Despite political efforts, student loan repayments are starting again soon in America

Despite the widespread effort from Democrats in Washington and pretty much most modern Americans student loan payments will begin again on time. According to reports out this week, Press Secretary Jen Psaki confirmed that Biden intends to restart student loan payments on time beginning 1 February. Psaki reaffirmed on top of that that nobody should expect any kind of forgiveness unless a bill is delivered to President Biden by Congress.

‘If Congress sends him a bill he’s happy to sign it. They haven’t sent him a bill on that yet,’ Psaki said after a reporter asked her if President Joe Biden planned to make good on his pledge previously made during his campaign to be the President.

Other reports note that the administration has previously resisted calls to forgive student loans as recently as 2020.
