U.S to restrict travel from 8 African countries as “variant of concern” quickly spreads

Having already been detected in parts of Europe having previously been in Botswana. The perceived to be vaccine-resistant variant has so many mutations that they’re calling in a constellation of such. According to the World Health Organisation, the variant is formally known as the omicron variant and is dominant mostly right now in Africa.
