U.S to establish task force to examine names of parks and other places connected to history of racism and segregation

In a change to U.S policy American officials are preparing to announce what is now known as a task force to establish names of parks and places connected to racism. According to media reports in the U.S, the news was announced as Friday came to an end to examine some questionably named places. For example, there are quite a few places; parks, or things in America with the term “Squaw” in the name — a term used to in a negative way typically describe a Native American woman.

By many we mean at least 600 according to tribal experts who have tracked discriminatory names and terms.

Reports indicate that the task force is now called the The Derogatory Geographic Names Task Force.

Places that mention  ‘negro,’ ‘wetback,’ and ‘Chinaman’ are also likely to be re-examined in the investigation.
