Joe Biden will have to push harder to enact his controversial vaccine mandate for healthcare workers. According to a ruling by St. Louis-based U.S. District Judge Matthew Schelp — that mandate federally has been blocked in 10 states per an injunction granted late last week.
The following states are mentioned in the order: Alaska, Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming.
“CMS seeks to overtake an area of traditional state authority by imposing an unprecedented demand to federally dictate the private medical decisions of millions of Americans. Such action challenges traditional notions of federalism,” Schelp wrote in his order. The same judge admitted that mandates made sense for care facilities, but, that CMS pretty much overstepped its reporting and public comment requirements attempting to enact the order.
