South Africa responds as world cuts off Africa from travel

Much of Africa including numerous countries that have been placed under travel restrictions by numerous western countries and parts of Europe. As a result of those restrictions, African government officials are now coming out on the offence claiming they’re discriminatory in nature and should stop.

One particular SA figure isn’t thrilled with them at all. According to media reports on the continent, South African president Cyril Ramaphosa has demanded they be lifted right now. In his statements, Ramaphosa claimed that the travel bans won’t actually stop the spread and it is making Africa the scapegoat of the pandemic.

He maintains that the following bans are not backed by science: US, Canada, UK, Israel, EU, and Japan. One key sticking point is how bad the restrictions will once again hit the local African(s) economy across the continent.
