Reports: America considering 7-day quarantine for travellers returning to the country

Big news for travellers today. According to reports, the American government is toying with the idea of quarantining all arriving passengers regardless of where they came from for 7 days upon arrival. The White House has not fully commented on the reports yet, however, government officials are attempting to determine how to keep America safe in the face of what is likely to be a dangerous wave of the Coronavirus.

According to The Washington Post, the government is also looking at tightening the testing window in hopes that by doing so apart from other measures the Americans can get a better idea of what is going on. The CDC still maintains that travellers should get a test about 3-5 days after travel and for safekeeping (to prevent being stranded in a country) should always get a test prior to departure.

The Post notes that nothing is set in stone yet, however, multiple options are in fact being explored.
