QAnon Shaman (yes that’s actually what he was referring to himself as so it goes) is going to prison. According to CNN, Jacob Chansely (aka The Shaman) is going to prison for 41 months for his role in the terrorist insurrection that took place on 6 January. He is the latest right-wing extremist to go down for their crimes against the state.
The judge in the case Royce Lamberth has held the Shaman in jail since his detainment refusing nearly all requests for release. Interestingly, the court system opted not to buy into Chansley’s attempts to gain sympathy or for his interesting diet habits.
“He made himself the image of the riot, didn’t he?” Lamberth said to Chansley’s defense attorney. “For good or bad, he made himself the very image of this whole event.”
The hardest part about this is to know that I’m to blame. To have to look in the mirror and know, you really messed up. Royally,” Chansley said.”I was in solitary confinement because of me. Because of my decision. I broke the law … I should do what Ghandi would do and take responsibility,” he says. “There’s no ifs, ands or buts about it, that’s what men of honor do.”
