Houston police Chief Troy Finner is making headlines today after he admitted that he did in fact visit Travis Scott prior to his now deadly Astroworld festival. According to the Huffington Post, Finner visited Scott in his trailer to discuss crowd control and other tactics for the concert that evidently went ignored. The Post cites people close to the police chief who were aware of his visit, who, also had worked with the festival months prior to prepare for the massive crowds.
“The one person who can really call for and get a tactical pause when something goes wrong is that performer,” Peña told the Times. “They have that bully pulpit and they have a responsibility.”
