Ghislaine Maxwell ‘s trial is *almost here*

Accused sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell is finally about to go on trial and it probably is more so a proxy than anything — because the Americans want to make an example out of her because they couldn’t get to Epstein fast enough. On Tuesday, jury selection in the very high profile federal case against Maxwell begins and is expected to include a pool of about 231 people.

Maxwell ‘s day before the federal hammer comes just days after her bombshell interview with The Daily Mail. It is unclear how The Mail got access to Maxwell to conduct this interview. In that interview, Maxwell complained that she is being mistreated in America by prison officials because they won’t allow her to shower; eat a proper meal, or sleep with the lights off. Maxwell also complained that strange creepy guards constantly interrupt her making her uncomfortable in her cell.

In all, once the jury is formally selected Maxwell faces upwards of 80 years in prison if formally convicted on all six counts. One of the most notorious counts dates back to 2000 when prosecutors allege she procured a 14-year-old girl to have sexual contact with Jeffrey Epstein.
