To protect oneself during the worst sick time of the year also from COVID-19 likely means that most people will need a booster shot at some point. According to the CDC, Dr. Rochelle Wolensky has greenlit the approval by an advisory board for Americans over the age of 18 to receive their COVID booster shot. The booster shots are meant to help further boost one’s chances of surviving the virus, many of whom, haven’t either due to being exposed to vaccine misinformation or simply waited too long.
Most experts appear to agree that it doesn’t matter the manufacturer you should probably still get one. Generally speaking it is advised that people wait about 6 months to get their third shot — though as with most medical things it is appropriate to discuss what is best for you with your primary care doctor.
The Washington Post reports. “Based on the compelling evidence, all adults over 18 should now have equitable access to a COVID-19 booster dose,” Walensky said in a statement.
