Joe Biden ‘s vaccine mandates are pretty strict even by Democratic standards. On Thursday, the administration revealed a series of new mandates that aim to have workers at large companies vaxxed by 4 January in the United States. For those and their employers who opt not to do so (and refuse testing options), the violations and the fines are staggering.

According to the U.S government, employers must coax or figure out a way to get their people fully vaccinated by January 4th or be fined. The government is prepared to levy fines of $14,000 (let’s make this next part clear) *per* violation no matter the company. This particular mandate applies to companies that have currently more than 100 employees which comes out to several million Americans who are now required to comply with the mandate.

The opposition of course has been quite in-depth.

“I don’t think they properly weighed all the risks and benefits of doing this, and are using a shotgun approach and not a scalpel when infections are dropping and vaccinations are already continuing to rise,” says Roger Severino, a fellow at the conservative Ethics and Public Policy Center, per the Washington Post. “All the indicators are that the grave danger has passed, to the extent that it even existed in the workplace.”

EXEMPT? According to the rules and our review of them those who work outside or work from home are not required to comply with the new federal mandate. The federal mandate trumps almost any local or state law, however, swift legal action is expected. It’s worth noting that legal action is expected by the open of business on Monday.

The rules also apply to federal contractors and hospital workers who are employed by hospitals who use Medicare or Medicaid.

What exactly will happen to workers work wise who refuse vaccinations is entirely up to the employer.
