Le Grele , France’s infamous 20th century serial killer ID’ed as French police officer in stunning suicide note

A remarkable suicide note left behind by a police officer in France appears to actually have been a confession. According to French media reports, Francois V, admitted in the note that he was in fact the serial killer that terrorized Paris throughout the 80’s and 90’s — often brutally having slaughtered and raped his victims.

According to French officials, Francois died of an apparent suicide on Wednesday.

Known infamously as “Le Grele” due to his pockmarked face — Francois got away with all of his crimes never having been caught. It is a stunning failure for French police services considering it was one of their own the entire time.

Francois ‘s crimes included varying types of people including an 11-year-old girl, a 19-year-old woman, and a man and his 21-year-old au pair. Most of his victims were assaulted; raped, and then violently murdered spanning multiple cities throughout France. The most notorious though occurred in parts of Paris according to historically available information.
