Hollywood is preparing a massive walkout over pay disparities and unfair treatment

Turns out even Tinsel Town can’t avoid protest culture these days which are widespread efforts to ensure fair and equitable (pay+treatment) for all. Later this month, Hollywood workers (think agents; staffing crews, production crews and those varying across the spectrum) are preparing to stage a mass walkout over what they say are failures by top brass.

According to the IATSE Union (which appears to rep just about any and every possible worker across various places in Hollywood) confirmed that on this Monday workers are prepared to walk out of their jobs in mass protest. Allot of the reasoning behind the protests appears to be a common reason among actual workplaces in the real world —- bitchy bosses; low pay, long hours, and more often than not no type of rest of “mental health” awareness.

In statements to the Huffington Post, IATSE ‘s President reaffirmed the unions’ stance with its members and their right to fair treatment and pay.

Most people can agree on one thing here and that is the fact that these people make Hollywood possible. Without them studios; execs, and even the general public would have nothing left to consume without these folks who put in the long hours to make #setlife possible.
