Nicki Minaj is finding herself on the defense after a series of tweets appeared to imply or suggest that the COVID-19 vaccines somehow cause enlarged testicles in men. Of course, as many of you know, that is not actually true and it is unclear how she actually came to that conclusion.
Let’s begin. According to reports the problem initially began after Minaj took to Twitter openly claiming that her cousin in Trinidad somehow ended up with enlarged testicles after receiving the vaccine. As a result of that claim, Minaj ended up on television shows across the spectrum widely criticised for spreading what is very much obvious misinformation.
At one point the government of Trinidad even got involved with one minister confirming that they were bombarded by requests to confirm the validity of her claims. That minister has since denied that such is even possible from the vaccines and that people have nothing to actually worry about.
Trini ‘s health minister Terrence Deyalsingh confirmed to CNN that they could not actually locate a cousin for Minaj who suffered such a thing or someone who did at all.
“One of the reasons why we could not respond yesterday in real-time to Miss Minaj is that we had to check and make sure that what she was claiming was either true or false. Unfortunately, we wasted so much time yesterday running down this false claim,” Deyalsingh said.
In the midst of it all, the White House has since come out claiming that they never invited Minaj to the White House but rather offered her a call with government doctors to discuss the vaccine.
